kayaking

Today we spent the day kayaking on the indian ocean which was so much fun. The beach we went to was gorgeous, full of tourist hotels, white sand, and clear water. All along the beach though, were locals, trying to sell a variety of trinkets, excursions, and other things to tourists who would follow us up and down the beach while we were walking, asking us for money, water, and food but i also think that they enjoyed our companionship. They enjoyed attempting to speak english, laughed at our attempts at swahili, and I think just looked up to us cause of our skin color. After a while it definitely got frustrating and I would find it very hard to vacation in a place where there is constant hassling like so many of the Italians do.
